A distinct reveal

The one thing you want noticed should be the one thing that differs.

A grid of fifteen identical pale squares with one yellow square that stands out.

Takeaways

  • Make the key moment the exception.
  • Do not make anything else an exception.
  • One emphasised word per line.

What it means

When several similar things appear together, the one that is different is the one remembered. So the reveal is made distinct on purpose, and nothing else around it competes by being distinct too.

In a RasanAI film

The meet and the signature moment are staged as the odd one out: a different scale, ground or texture from the beats around them. Emphasis is a single word per line, for the same reason.
