Motion
Always moving, no dead frames
Something visibly moves in every moment; a hold is composed, not frozen.
Takeaways
- No still stretch of 0.8 s or more.
- Fill a hold with secondary motion.
- No idle loops, breathing or pulsing on content.
What it means
A frame where nothing moves at all feels like the video stalled. Holds still exist, because people need time to read, but they carry a small secondary motion: a slow push, a light sweep, a swap. Constant mechanical drift is the opposite failure.
In a RasanAI film
The motion gate fails a film when a still stretch reaches 0.8 seconds. A hold is at most about 1.2 seconds, and an end card holds up to about 3 seconds while ambient light keeps moving.
Origins and sources
Disney's secondary action. The 0.8 second limit is measured from real launch films.
